I added the sticker in the top right corner that I mentioned in a previous post and continued the pink/purple colour used in my models t-shirt. I added a transparent copy of the title last lesson but this week I made it stand out more and added the quotation marks. I have also added page numbers in the bottom corners.

Research and Planning: Double page Spread further inspiration
For my further research into designing my double page spread I have looked at different Kerrang! Issues.
This issue shows the title spread across the double page which I have chosen to do with my own magazine, but with my own twist. My spread is punk inspired so I have designed my title onto black obscure rectangles with white text against a brick background. This design also reminded me of The Sex Pistols logo
This next issue also contributed to the black box rectangles and the layout of my double page spread. This issue also includes a sticker at the top left which has made me want the research into more stickers in different magazines.
Music Magazine Update:Double Page Spread 22/01/15
I have started my double page spread today. I chose to continue the brick background theme to relate to the front cover. I continued the bar at the top of the pages but instead of using red I mimicked the pink colour from Josh's t-shirt. I created a black title to represent a punk theme, and used quotation marks to tie into the main story. My interview will go in the white box which I surrounded with a grey boarder to make it look less harsh against the brick background. My introducing line with go in the black rectangle to stand out.

Research and Planning: Front Cover and Contents Page.
Music Magazine Update: 05/01/15
I have finished my contents page! I added my final cover line in the bottom right hand corner and used my own photo of my CD.
Research and Planning: Competition photos
My last cover line in my magazine is
"Win 2 tickets to see bring me the horizon at Wembley"
I thought I would take some pictures of their latest album in cd form (sempiternal) since that's the album that abled them to appeal to a wider range of people.
These are the pictures I took
The first two pictures I took with the flash on but the light reflected off the plastic cd case so I couldn't use either of them. Then I took some pictures during the day to get some decent natural light. 3-8 are the pictures I ended up with. I have decided to use image 4 since the colour seems to stand out better and looks a lot clearer than the rest.

Music Magazine Update: 03/01/15
After adding my letter at the bottom I begun to find it quite difficult to read simply because reading a large amount of white text doesn't seem to be as clear as black text, so I decided to change my background colour to white and this made the whole magazine look a lot more professional than the black background since I had to section everything off clearly with boxes, whereas this new contents page seems to flow a lot better.
Research and Planning: Extra Photo
On my contents page I have left space for a small photo of myself to include next to the letter.
I have done some research looking at Kerrang! magazines I have collected myself to see what kind of headshots have been used to show the editor at Kerrang!.
This first image is James one of the editors of Kerrang! with Bring Me The Horizon taking a picture using the front camera on a phone.
This second image again is of James with Dave Ghrol from Foo Fighters, again using the front camera on his phone.
I thought I could continue this trend of shot type, by including a photo of me and Simon Rowlands from Fort Hope. This image will tie in well since I met Fort hope after watching them support Mallory Knox last November. This is also included as one of my gig reviews/main cover lines.

Music Magazine Update: 02/01/15
I have a small update for you :)
I decided to get rid of the black borders around the white rectangles since it looked very out of place compared to the rest of the magazine.
I have added the small letter to my magazine and have left a small square gap for a picture of myself (the editor in this case). I have lined the paragraph up against the two blue lines so that all the text definitley prints and nothing gets cut off. In the bottom right hand corner I will be adding a photo of a Bring Me The Horizon CD and then adding my last cover line regarding winning tickets to see the band at Wembley Stadium.
